Hi, I’m Jake
Silktown Creative Studio is me, Jake Donnelly: a filmmaker, photographer and web designer from Cheshire, making video, photos and websites for businesses across Manchester, Cheshire and the North West.
The name is a nod to Macclesfield’s silk-making history and its nickname, Silk Town. The logo is a single silk thread looping six times: one person, tying everything you need into one story.
Where I’ve come from
Trained on days that can’t be reshot.
For over 10 years I’ve filmed and photographed weddings. Weddings teach you to work quickly, read a room and get the shot first time, because nothing happens twice.
I bring the same approach to business shoots: calm, organised, and focused on what you actually need the footage for.
